Masters Students

Melbourne Children’s Global Health (MCGH) offers supervision and support for Masters-level students undertaking Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) placements or research projects across a variety of relevant courses at The University of Melbourne. These include, but are not limited to: 

  • Master of Public Health (MPH) 

  • Master of Global Health 

  • Master of Epidemiology 

  • Master of Health and Medical Sciences 

  • Master of International Health (where applicable) 

  • Other related health sciences and research-focused Masters programs 

Students benefit from hands-on experience in projects aligned with MCGH’s priorities such as infectious diseases, vaccines, child and adolescent health, health policy, and global health equity. Supervision is provided by experienced researchers and clinicians, offering strong academic and professional guidance throughout placements or research projects.

PhD Research Projects

Melbourne Children’s Global Health (MCGH) offers supervision and collaborative support to doctoral students undertaking PhD research through The University of Melbourne or other universities. PhD candidates can engage in cutting-edge research aligned with MCGH’s key focus areas, including vaccines, infectious diseases, child and adolescent health, public health policy, and global health equity. 

Prospective PhD students are encouraged to explore available research themes and connect early with potential supervisors to discuss project ideas and funding opportunities.

Fellowships (not currently offered)

Melbourne Children’s Global Health offers a Training Fellowship (Advanced Paediatric Trainee) and Postdoctoral Fellowship with the generous support of the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation.
