WHO STAGE

Professor Peter Azzopardi and Professor Trevor Duke, leading experts in adolescent health and wellbeing at Melbourne Children’s Global Health, are a part of the Strategic and Technical Advisory Group of Experts (STAGE) for Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health and Nutrition.

STAGE provides high-level strategic and technical guidance to the World Health Organization (WHO). Its role is to advise on global health priorities and emerging challenges across the full life course—from pregnancy and birth through adolescence—ensuring that WHO’s policies, strategies, and recommended interventions remain up to date and evidence-based.

This work supports Member States in advancing their health systems and achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) targets related to health and nutrition.
